In the early 1990s, the children's cable network Nickelodeon produced a spate of television series that were funny, smart, and never pandered to--or insulted the intelligence of--its predominantly pre-teen audience. Originating as series of shorts that aired during commercial breaks and then expanded to a full-length show, THE ADVENTURES OF PETE AND PETE was one of Nick's most imaginative outings.
